Today’s the day! Last week, in honor of Valentine’s Day, we decided to share the love with a little contest. We asked all of you forward-thinking creative geniuses out there to send us some of your suggestions for making the world of healthcare a better, happier place. Specifically: describe what you think a hospital waiting room should look like in 2020, and why.
In addition to writing the essay, participants also had to tweet using hashtags #hxdconf and #thefrontierproject to let us know their masterpieces of vision and verbiage had been submitted.
We were absolutely floored by the creativity and inspiration of the submissions we received. You guys would give professional interior designers a run for their money!
So, without any more fanfare, the winners of our “Hospital Waiting Room of the Future” essay contest are:
Riaz Karmali
Evi Hui
Please direct message @hxdconf to accept your prize!
And for all of you students who didn’t win, we want you to know that we thought your work was still amazing. Your visions of what could be – and what should be—exemplify the exact kind of excellence the healthcare industry needs. We hope that you will continue to seek opportunities to improve healthcare through human centered design and technology.
You can start by joining us this March at the Westin Boston Waterfront to immerse yourself with peers and thoughts leaders, and to take your experience to the next level at HxD2012.
