Brittany’s favorite moment in design is the turning point in the synthesis process where everything starts to make sense, the border of the puzzle is built, and the narrative starts to emerge from the dense data - what isn’t important starts to fade away, the significant shines, and the insights start to grow.
Brittany holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Service Design from Savannah College of Art & Design in addition to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with distinction from the University of Virginia. Before turning to service design, she practiced as a nurse in her home state of Virginia with an emphasis on end-of-life care and hospice case management, leading innovation strategy with expertise in ethnographic research and facilitation of participatory design sessions.
Outside of work you can find Brittany writing her book and blog (still in production), drawing, painting, and spending time with her toes in the sand on North Carolina’s Outer Banks. She also enjoys spending time with her family, boyfriend Joey, and dog Lola (who often makes appearances on virtual calls).
